Tucker Promotes Right-wing Violence AGAIN

Tucker promotes Right-wing Violence AGAIN as he sits behind his Ministry of Propaganda desk with his trademark punchable face

Carlson claims a rigged [Brazilian] election with zero evidence

When right-wingers engage in violence anywhere across the globe, we can always count on non-journalist / neo-fascist propagandist Tucker Carlson to provide encouragement or excuses for them. This week was a *ucker love-fest for the fine upstanding Brazilians who took a page from the MAGAt playbook and stormed their Congress. The world learned that Bolsonaro bigots behave the same as trashy Trumpists when their cult leader can’t earn the majority of votes, only providing more evidence that the contemporary Right is simply a collection of unhappy small children trapped in the bodies of adults.

Tucker promotes right-wing violence again not only by praising the Bolsonaro bigots, but also as a renewed proponent of the sleazy J6ers who wanted to sack a joint session of Congress. Since it was the anniversary of the January 6 United States Capitol attack, *ucker had to double down on the nothing-to-see-here mythology he built around that day. Let’s examine a quote pointed out by Media Matters.

Tucker’s red herring

“Two years later, it’s clear that Ashley Babbitt is — her death is by far the most significant thing that happened at the U.S. Capitol building that day. But at the same time, it is the least talked about event of January 6th. Why is that?”

Whenever *ucker asks Why is that?, you can be sure the question has already been honestly answered elsewhere first. You can also be confident that his bad-faith response to his self-congratulatory question will be a complete load of sh!t. Here he uses (as usual) a red herring to distract his brain-dead viewers from actual answers and the big picture (i.e., the truth). Ashley Babbitt is one of the least talked about events of January 6th probably because she is one of the least relevant things that happened at the U.S. Capitol building that day.

Relevant is the mob attempting to overthrow a fundamental process of the democratic system put in place by Article II of The Constitution — an action that could have affected all 332,000,000 people living in the nation. A total of 73 Capitol Police and 65 Metropolitan Police were injured, some severely. [If you don’t want to watch videos of the mob’s violence you can read Hold the Line, a book written by a right-wing cop who was beaten unconscious that day by Tucker’s disinformed army.] The stress of the attack led to Officer Brian Sicknick dying from two strokes the following day, and disillusionment caused by the event led to four other cops committing suicide in the following days or weeks.

The questions *ucker will never ask

Will *ucker ask his audience why Babbitt attempted to climb through the shattered window of a barricaded door in the Capitol? Was she extremely eager to shake the hand of her favorite Congressperson? As we all know, angry mobs engage in productive conversation after they break through barricaded doors. Not to mention, Ashley had a history of resolving conflicts peacefully, such as in 2016 when she repeatedly smashed her SUV into the vehicle of someone she disliked.

A more interesting question still is “What would have happened if Mr. Trump had won the election and a different group had come to overthrow his victory at the Capitol”? If instead Black Panthers had come and behaved exactly the same as the MAGAt mob did that day, we can all guess what would have been different. If the attackers had been against Mr. Trump (especially if they had been black), we all know that America’s Central Park Five POTUS would have called in troops within minutes. We can ask a similar question without bringing race into it, but the point is that you will never, ever hear *ucker admit to the distinct smell of white privilege on J6. Since Tucker promotes right-wing violence, we can also be certain that he would have defended anyone shooting citizens in a reverse scenario.

† Unbeknownst to many a MAGAt, Tucker Carlson is an entertainer, not a journalist. The legal system agrees that you literally shouldn’t believe anything *ucker states on his show.
